How it's calculated
Net worth is what you own minus what you owe. Own means what things would sell for today, not what you paid: the home at its market value, the car at its resale value, the accounts at their balance. Owe means every balance you'd have to clear to walk away free.
The home appears on both sides, as an asset and as a mortgage. What's yours is the difference, the equity, and for most homeowners it's most of their net worth, which is why the reachable-vs-locked split matters: a large net worth you can't spend is a different thing from cash.
The projection is deliberately simple: your monthly saving is added to investments and retirement, which grow at the return you chose; everything else, including the debts, is left as it is. It shows what saving alone does. Paying debts down would push it further. Pikaflow tracks all of this across your accounts, month by month.
